Muhammed Atif

Research Fellow

Mo Atif qualified as a doctor from Kings College London in July 2013. In doing so, he was awarded a Distinction as well as an intercalated BSc (Hons) in Clinical Pharmacology. He is currently a House Officer at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

He became interested in Transplantation right from his first clinical rotation as a medical student - this was at the Institute of Liver Studies, Kings College Hospital. He spent his Summers working at the Rayne Institute delineating immunological profiles of patients after bone marrow transplantation and using them to predict the onset of graft vs host disease.

In 2012, he was awarded grants by both the British Society of Haematology and European Society of Transplantation to fund his medical elective at the Transplant Center, Massachusetts General Hospital. He worked with Dr T Kawai and Dr J Madsen on protocols involving the induction of tolerance to renal, cardiac and lung allografts.

In his free time, he enjoys cycling in the Cotswolds and occasionally the Chilterns whilst en route to London.
