Neil Russell was awarded a MChir from the University of Cambridge for his thesis entitled “A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Calcineurin Inhibitor Sparing Regimens in Solid Organ Transplantation”.





New research fellow appointed

John O’Callaghan has been appointed as a clinical research fellow jointly between the CET and the Oxford Transplant Unit. As well as clinical duties with the Oxford Transplant Unit, he will be leading a systematic review of organ preservation in transplantation. This review will be a collaborative project between the CET and the Cochrane Renal Group in Sydney.





Sir Peter Morris made an Honorary Member of ESOT

Sir Peter Morris was made an Honorary Member of the European Society of Organ Transplantation (ESOT) at the opening ceremony of the ESOT congress in Paris.





Research fellow awarded MChir from University of Cambridge

Simon Knight was awarded a MChir with distinction from the University of Cambridge for his thesis entitled “Optimisation of immunosuppressive Drug Therapy in Transplant Recipients”. The work was completed during his time as a research fellow at the CET, and includes systematic reviews of therapeutic drug monitoring and steroid avoidance/withdrawal protocols.

He was also awarded the Sir Walter Langdon-Brown prize for the work.
