Dr Liset Pengel

Research Associate
Centre for Evidence in Transplantation

Dr Liset Pengel has been working as a research associate for the Centre for Evidence in Transplantation since Jauary 2005. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney in 2003 by coordinating an international trial that compared different conservative treatments for people suffering from sub-acute low back pain.

In addition she conducted systematic reviews on treatment efficacy and prognosis for back pain. Before working at the Centre, Dr Pengel worked at the Medical Research Council’s General Practice Research Framework where she coordinated a large multi-centre trial of different interventions for people with low back pain.

Dr Pengel is currently involved in the evaluation of the quality of recently published randomised controlled trials in solid organ transplantation. This has been published as a regular Special Feature in the journal Transplantation. She was also involved in the development of the Transplantation Library.

Dr Pengel will now be the main link in the collaboration between the ESOT and the CET. See ESOT – CET collaboration page.
