Philip Macklin

Philip Macklin

Research Fellow

Philip attended Edinburgh Medical School were he graduated with an honours degree in Medical Biology in 2006 and in Clinical Medicine in 2009. His research focuses on the role of Rituximab as an immunosuppressant in renal transplantation.

His dissertation was awarded an MSc in Surgical Sciences with distinction jointly from the Royal College of Surgeons and the University of Edinburgh in June 2012. He is now preparing manuscripts from his work for publication.

Philip is now training as a pathologist. Outside of medicine he enjoys reading, cinema and many sports, especially rugby, cricket and football.
