Jeff Lafranca, MD, studied Medicine in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He obtained his medical degree in 2011. From 2011 to 2012, he worked as a surgical resident in the Erasmus MC, University Medical Center Rotterdam. In 2012, he started as a PhD- candidate, in the field of Transplantation Surgery under supervision of Dr. Frank Dor and Prof. Dr. Jan Ijzermans. His thesis is about the shifting paradigms in eligibility criteria in live kidney donation, which he hopes to complete in 2015.
He has written several systematic reviews and meta-analyses in the field of (transplantation) surgery which are published in several prominent medical journals.
